And the Two Shall Become One....

In a few months this beautiful couple will be Mr. & Mrs.!!
The story behind the Bride's engagement ring is so incredibility unique...it will bring tears to your eyes. The diamonds were from the Groom's Great-Grandmothers setting ~ It was redesigned into the current setting ~ It is such a touching story I just had to take as many images as I could!

The location we went to for the session was where their wedding will be held. There was a wedding currently happening when we were there so we were able to go to some other areas and buildings on the grounds. The buildings are old homes that have been renovated. One is a beautiful restaurant and the owners are about to "fix up" the other homes. Luckily my husband and I know the owners and I had permission to go there...it was so unique!!

Just havin' some fun!!!

Wishing the Two of You Many Blessings
and All of the Happiness in the World!!
Until Next Time

Talkin' 'bout my Generation!

This wonderful family was a blast to hang out with!! The weather was just beautiful...one of the first awesome weekends we've had in a long time! Their gorgeous home right on Lake Conroe was amazing..but what was even more amazing was all 4 of the generations that were there! The youngest was 11 months...the oldest 89 years...WOW!!!

This sweet young lady was just darling! Her daughter told me she would do whatever I asked her to do...even cartwheels!! I hope I'm able to be like that when I'm 89!!!

These little ones are the 4 grandchildren.

I started with this precious little girl - look at those blue eyes!!!
Then I just had to take this little guy to the side and get his cute freckles!!!
Of course then the oldest...looks just like his brother...and what a great kid!!!
He was such a gentleman!!
Then finally the brother to the little girl....he had some of the cutest expressions!!!

Probably the most fun was taking an image of my client with her two English Bulldogs!
If my memory is still with me their names were "Lola May" and "Clyde"
...aaahhhhh they were so cute!!!
They were like little people...at one point Lola May got her feelings hurt
and wouldn't look at the camera!! HA!! Clyde however would do just about anything...they would move him around and he would just sit there!!! They just cracked me up!!
I love to include "every member" of the family in portraits!!

These are just a few of the images taken that day...

I wish I could put all of them on!!

Until Next Time!

Today At the Gift Market.....

What a great day at the St. Mary's Gift Market today!!! It's going on tomorrow too from 9-4. There is a wonderful lady there, Jane Landau (I photographed her step daughters senior portrait session years ago...what a beautiful girl!) and she has this awesome booth there called "Put It On My Heart"...she paints beautifully on a large square piece of wood with many different colors to choose from and then uniquely writes a Bible Verse or Saying...then in the middle of it you place a square photograph (5 x 5, I'm pretty sure)...they are AWESOME!!! They all have different looks and she does custom orders as well! Check it out if you can, if not I got her card and the web site is www.putitonmyheart.com ~ I do believe they are still working on the web site, so keep checking back!

There are so many wonderful booths....Jennifer Doremus with Silk Accents is there with her gorgeous floral arrangements, she does custom orders as well...I've always been able to tell her what I need with colors....she gets it right every time!!! Her web site is www.BoutiqueTooCute.com . Beautiful Jewelry, Neat Clothing, Fancy Clipboards, a Raffle, a Silent Auction..and they even have a Tea Room with lots of delicious food!

I got to see lots of customers...it was great all of you, even your kiddo's...along with meeting new people! Try to stop by if you can!

Until Next Time

Bubbles and Ducks...Everywhere!

This adorable little one is my Granddaughter....YES Granddaughter!!! My husband's daughter has a little girl so when we got married I became and instant Grandmother...and a young one at that!!! She will be 2 years old in December and I just had to take her out for a few clicks of the camera!! My mother (sweet Miss Pat as the kids all know her!) came to help me and I couldn't have done it without her!! We went to a local park and took some bread to feed the ducks.
But....the ducks just would not cooperate...They weren't hungry!
A few of them came a little bit close...but not one took the bait!
Shame on them!!

Then....finally they "came a quacking"..and we got some big laughs!

And now...Bubble Time!!!
First she did the normal thing kids do when it came to stepping in damp grass...we picked her up to have her stand up and she lifted her legs up and crossed them like she was sitting in the air! So cute!
So....we worked a little magic...we put her on the concrete walkway,
got ourselves in the grass and started the Bubbles...

I think she forgot about the wet grass....she was having a Blast!

Makes you wonder what she's thinking....maybe which one should I try to catch!?!

Blessings~

Where were You when the World Stopped Turning.....

I'll NEVER forget where I was on September 11, 2001....my son, who was in 1st grade at the time, was about to get on the bus. We saw reports on TV, we didn't even know where things were happening, but.....I told him, "We have to pray for everyone, this is really bad!"....We stopped everything and prayed. "Go to school and tell your teacher what is happening!" I'm not sure why I told him to do that...I was just panicked!!! I knew that day would forever change our Country.

Anyway....as I saw a little bit of Oprah today and she had family members who lost a loved one on 9/11 and tears came to my eyes...one little girl took her dad's sweatshirt and made it into a pillow and she called it her "Daddy Pillow" and she hugged it all the time, like she was still hugging him.....one girl lost her mom (and she was a single mom) when she was 15 and became an instant mother to her 15 month old brother.....one mother told her 3 children "He loved you before you were ever born". All of that will definitely bring tears to your eyes! Then the thing that made me lose it was seeing family portraits, sometimes portraits are all you have left and they can always remind us of our loved ones and teach younger generations about their family. I realized what a WONDERFUL BLESSING I have as a Portrait Photographer to be able to "stop time" and make memories that people will have forever! It is truly a gift God has blessed me with!

After my son got home from football practice, I took him outside to our American Flag (that my awesome husband hung.........he graciously honored our country by serving in the Military in Dessert Storm), and just had to click a little bit!
So....Where were You when the World Stopped Turning?

Blessings~
